Frequency & Stone did not begin because my life had fallen apart. My life was stable. I was loved. I simply knew that I still wanted something substantial to be mine to build.
A life of my own
After becoming a mother, much of my attention went into keeping family life moving. I respected that work, and I knew I could do it well. But I did not want care to become the only way I understood my value. I am ambitious. I want to build a meaningful company, earn through my own judgment, and take visible responsibility for what I create.
My path has never followed one clean line. I began in electrical engineering, moved into economics, later trained in data analytics and risk management, and worked in data analysis. Alongside that rational training, I kept returning to astrology, the Five Elements, Buddhist thought, walking in nature, and the questions that cannot always be reduced to a table.
Why natural stones
Natural stones brought those parts of me together. They are beautiful, materially distinct, and shaped by time in ways that cannot be repeated exactly. They also gave me the possibility of building a real business around something I genuinely wanted to spend my days looking at, learning, and choosing.
I believe people have frequencies. Stones do too. A person arrives with a certain rhythm and continues to move through changing states. A stone carries pressure, mineral, place, and time inside its form. Sometimes the reason a piece stops you is not only that it is beautiful. You recognize something in it: where you are now, or the direction you are ready to approach.
A better way to choose
As a customer, I often had trouble choosing. Some natural stone pieces carried meaning but lacked the design I wanted to wear. More often, I liked too many things at once. A wall of beautiful pieces gave me more possibilities, but not a reason to choose one.
The question behind Frequency & Stone became very simple: can beauty come first, and can a clear method then help someone understand why this piece, and why now?
In April 2026, I began turning that question into a company. I visited suppliers in Donghai and compared different ways of working. I did not choose only by the lowest price. I chose a sourcing relationship that could understand my eye, connect with upstream rough-stone resources, and help build an early way of working with less noise and more attention.
I decide which pieces stay, how combinations should change, how a piece is named, which state it holds, and how its material world should be described. Stone Match grew from the same work. It begins with where you are now, the direction you want to approach, and what you genuinely find beautiful. When you choose to include it, birth information adds a quieter reference to longer-term tendencies.
Beauty must exist first. Meaning needs somewhere to land.
The work from here
After my first job ended, I felt deeply anxious and uncertain about where my life was going. During that period, I went to a meditation retreat on Mount Lu. My teacher said, “真正的修行，从下山开始。” Real practice begins when you return to ordinary life.
I wrote another line then: “修行度己，再度他人。” First cultivate and establish yourself; then let what you have built move outward in service of others.
I have not completed that sentence. Frequency & Stone is part of how I am living it now: building myself and this company seriously, then allowing the capacity, freedom, and love created here to travel further than me.
